6x2 + 8x – 3x – 4 = 0
2x(3x + 4) – 1(3x + 4) = 0
(2x – 1)(3x + 4) = 0
Solve each factor:
2x – 1 = 0 or 3x + 4 = 0
x = 1/2, or x = -4/3
