What is the equation of a line that is perpendicular to the line x - 3y = 15?

Given the equation of the line is x - 3y = 15
Converting it into the standard form we get,
y = x/3 - 5
so, we have a slope of the equation as 1/3.
the relation between two perpendicular lines is
m1 . m2 = -1
where m1, m2 are slopes of two perpendicular lines.
therefore, 1/3 . m2 = -1
m2 = -3
So, the equation of the required line is
y = -3x - 5
