English: Let’s talk about the family members. Let’s imagine that our family is made up of Mr. Iglesias, who is the father, and Mrs.Iglesias who is the mother, their children, Enrique, who is the son, and Chabeli, who is the daughter.
English: Chabeli has a husband whose name is Juan and a son named Roberto. Enrique is not married, that is, he doesn’t have a wife.
English: Well, let’s see what other relationships we can find within this family: Mr. and Mrs. Iglesias are spouses, the husband and the wife. Enrique and Chabeli are siblings; the brother and the sister.
English: What’s the relationship between the Iglesias and Roberto? Well, they are the grandparents, the grandfather and the grandmother; therefore Roberto is the Iglesias’s grandson.
English: And what’s the relationship between Enrique y Roberto? Well, Enrique is Roberto’s uncle and at the same time Roberto is Enrique’s nephew.
English: And what’s the relationship between the Iglesias and Juan? Well, they are the parents-in-law, and Juan is the son-in- law. The father-in-law, the mother-in-law, and Juan is the son- in-law.
English: Very well, is not so difficult. Is it? Let’s go to the practice section.
