Spanish: Present Tense of The Verb "ESTAR" - Presentation
This is a free lesson from our course in Spanish

This lesson explains present tense of the verb "ESTAR".
English: The way in which Spanish expresses the state or the circumstances of things is by using the very versatile verb “estar.” This Spanish verb is the object of our lesson 11. Its brother, the verb “ser,” will be part of our lesson 13. Together, these two verbs give great depth to the expressive possibilities of the Spanish language. Both correspond to different aspects that in English are expressed with only one verb, and this fact marks an important difference between this language and Spanish. But the extra effort rewards us with a system of great subtlety and precision of expression.
Aspects like the location of people and things, and physical and emotional states that affect us and affect our things -- in Spanish all are expressed with the verb “estar.” (More text below video...)
