Polygons are bounded/closed figures, made of finite number of line segments.
Circle is a closed figure; but it is not made of line segments, so this is not a polygon.
Arc is neither closed nor made of line segments, so this is also not a polygon.
Closed figure:
If in a figure starting and end points are same, then this type of figure is called closed figure. Closed figure have interior area and exterior area.
Open figure:
If in a figure starting and end points are different, then this type of figure is called closed figure. Open figures can not be divided into interior and exterior areas.
